Have you had enough practice?  Are you relaxed and comfortable behind the wheel?  Do you know when and how to operate the
vehicle controls (i.e. headlights, wiper blades, defogger, etc...)?
Do you know how to:
Safely enter and leave traffic?
Make a right and left turn in a simple and complex intersection (single lane vs multi lane, standard traffic signal vs.
protected left turn signal light)?
Parallel and stall park?
Perform a three-point turn?
Emergency roadside stop procedure?
Enter, leave and make safe lane change on the freeway if applying for a full G licence?  Do you know how to merge on or
exit from the freeway on a weaving lane?
Do you know:
The legal stopping positions at an intersection?
How many vehicles may enter and wait in the intersection for traffic to clear before making a left turn?
The difference between one-way with bike lane marked and without bike lane?
The hands position on the steering wheel and the steering method?
How to scan intersections and how often to glance in your mirrors?
The minimum following distance and how road condition impact following distance?
Is your vehicle FIT for the road test?  The pre-test vehicle check is to ensure that your vehicle is safe for the road test.  Road test
appointment will be cancelled and you will lose 50% of your road test fee if one of the following items is detected (for a complete
list please refer to the drive test website):
Vehicle equipped with ignition interlock device but no ignition interlock (I) condition on license.
Ignition interlock device not installed if a requirement exists.
Flat tire, donut tire any wheel.
Defective tires.
More than one wheel nut missing on a wheel.
Roof down and/or unsecured (convertible style vehicle).
Non-functional or uninstalled door(s) (door does not open and/or does not close).
Obvious fuel leaks.
Unsecured or defective muffler.
Non-functional foot brake.
Non-functional or missing seat belt (driver or front passenger/examiner).
Non-functional right/left brake light.
Non-functional turn signal.
Non-functional headlights or tail lights (darkness and/or limited ability).
Non-functional windshield wipers or no washer fluid (if weather condition warrant).
Non-functional defroster/defogger (if weather conditions warrant).
Non-functional horn or speedometer.
Damaged windshield, large cracks, stars, etc, obstructing vision in areas of the windshield swept by the wiper blades.
Not secured or missing seat.
No rear bumper.
No mirror.
Fumes in vehicle.
Unsecured vehicle parts (i.e. hood).
Unclean vehicle that poses health risk to the examiner.
Visible or audible defects that contravene the Highway Traffic Act.
Defect that affects the safe operation of a vehicle.
Unacceptable permit: invalid/missing sticker, expired 10-day permit or in-transit permit.
Altered vehicle plate.
